Integrate sales analysis with MANMAN

We know there’s a lot of MANMAN sites out there in our readership, so we’re always interested in tools that can make better use of the data you’re collecting from your operations. One of the first outside solutions for sales analysis of MANMAN data is shipping from Taurus Software (650.961.1323 x1), a longtime HP 3000 software supplier (This is a company that was emulating the MPE/XL CI on Classic HP 3000s before HP’s engineers knew how). Taurus is rolling out SalesMAN, a ready-to run data mart that lets you analyze your MANMAN data to answer bet-the-business questions like “Which salespeople are making me money, and which are costing me money?” It looks like one of the first ready-made paths into using Brio’s OLAP tools on HP 3000 data, running the Brio software on an NT or Unix system that receives data from your production HP 3000’s MANMAN OMAR modules. Taurus’ Vicky Shoemaker says the product, which includes implementation services, can be used by any executive in your organization who can handle a mouse. Seems like a reasonable skill set to require from your users. (See our March issue for more details.)
