SIGCOBOL to benefit from COBOL World registration
code
The Interex Special Interest Group for COBOL
(SIGCOBOL) can receive a financial bonus for each person registering
for the upcoming Cobol World 2001Conference, October 2-4. The
conference is the first international general COBOL conference, to be
held in Anaheim, Calif.
SIGCOBOL chairman
Jeanette Nutsford reports that I am heavily involved as a board
member of the conference (representing the SIGCOBOL users) and our
user group stands to gain financially if people register with our
special keycode HPC100. Registering with the code at www.cobolworld.com/2_4register.html
also saves attendees $100. The conference has six different tracks
with papers The Web, Business Vision, Object/Component
Technology, Legacy Integration/Transformation, Open-Source, and The
COBOL 2002 Standard plus half- and full-day tutorials. A
special roundtable, hosted by Nutsford, will discuss the role of user
groups.
