Interex closed its last
platform-specific publication for good
Contributors and columnists first reported that HP user group Interex closed the book on its last group of platform-specific publications last month, as Enterprise Solutions even stopped publishing in a Web format. The publication had for several years carried the masthead of Interact, an HP 3000 magazine which had a history running back into the early 1980s. Enterprise Solutions, which also carried HP-UX and NT articles, dropped its print edition in 2001, leaving HP World as the only Interex publication on paper. While regrettable, we have been forced to find ways to more efficiently consolidate our services, launch a new membership drive to grow the organization, and to add extra value and focus to our conference tracks, said executive director Ronald Evans. Interact had the longest running history of any title devoted entirely to the HP 3000. Copyright The 3000 NewsWire. All rights reserved |
