Hewlett-Packard Education announced a slate of classes on getting hands-on experience with the new release of MPE/iX 7.0, but the company cancelled its Oct. 24 session in the Bay Area early in October for a lack of registration. Classes remain in Atlanta and the Chicago area in November and January, but a third-party option is also available from Tech Group University on December 4, taught by long-time HP 3000 instructor Paul Edwards. Sign up at www.techgroupmd.com. In the meantime, the Invent3K public access e3000 being operated by HPs CSY group has the new version of the OS installed, so you can get your own hands on it.
