Installed
Express 1 of 6.0? You may need a better Patch/iX HP announced on January 6 that it discovered a problem with the autoled.install.sys Patch/iX installation link editor in MPE/iX Release 6.0 Express 1. HP put a hold on Express 1, then made a new version of the release available to solve the problem. Some systems with pre-installed Express 1 must update their Patch/iX versions to fix the problem.Installing the latest version of Patch/iX on your HP 3000 running MPE Release 6.0 Express 1 will ensure that future patch updates to your system will not be effected by the autoled.install.sys problem, HPs Jon Cohen said. If you havent installed Express 1 yet, dont ensure your Express 1 tape has a date code 3951 to avoid the problem. If you have, download the latest Patch/iX from jazz.external.hp.com/src. HP said repeated usage of the bad Patch/iX can cause problems whose recovery can be as extreme as a reload. HP scrapped all bad copies of Express 1, and said no customer experienced the problem it was caught by CSY internal checks. Copyright The 3000 NewsWire. All rights reserved |
