CSY’s Kevin Cooper said he’d heard the MPELXB0 patch which fixes PowerPatch 1 performance was going into general release in the second week of October. Customers reported they were being told they couldn’t get HP to ship the 6.5 PowerPatch 1 in the weeks following HP World, as CSY fixed the problem. It affects any place where a 3000 writes a file and then goes back and rereads the same file. Robelle’s Suprtool customers were among the first to discover it during sorts. The HP patch, once it gains General Release status, can be downloaded from HP’s IT Response Center.
