The first 3000-only book in years
hit online book stores
Jon Diercks, a development engineer at ORBiT Software and contributor to The 3000 NewsWire and Interact, has completed the first 3000-only technical textbook to be published in almost 10 years. The MPE/iX System Administration Handbook is now orderable from online bookstores including Amazon, bn.com, FatBrain, Borders and bamm.com. The 400-page text, published by Prentice-Hall, is cheapest at bamm.com at $45. It will also be on sale at the Prentice-Hall bookstore at next months HP World conference in Chicago. It covers step-by-step procedures for typical tasks, solutions for the most common MPE/iX challenges, tools for optimizing system performance on the HP e3000, advanced techniques for managing security and networking, and introductions to MPE/iX scripts and programming.
