WRQ changed
EnterView to Reflection for the Web Connectivity
supplier WRQ this month began shipping a version 3.0 of Reflection
for the Web, formerly known as EnterView. WRQs changes to the
product include a faster component-based architecture, which allows
users to download only the functionality they need. Reflection for
the Web concurrent pricing has been reduced to $199 and the per seat
price to $115. The component-based redesign is aimed at getting
faster start up times with smaller downloads. A new security proxy
wizard walks users through the process of setting up secure
connections on their server and automatically generates the required
security certificates. The Java client and proxy provide maximum data
encryption and secure server authentication. WRQ said that 168-bit
Triple DES encryption provides the highest level of security
available on the Web, while and HTTP tunneling permits secure
traversal of remote firewalls without configuration changes.
Reflection for the Web operates in many other environments other than
the e3000, including IBM mainframes and AS/400s. An automatic green
screen to GUI tool that converts IBM 3270 and IBM 5250 green-screens
into Web-style user interfaces on-the-fly.
