A new leader
of the 3000 labs took over
HP e3000 general
manager Winston Prather quietly named a replacement for his former
R&D manager post in the division during June, selecting lab
section manager David Wilde to lead the engineers working on projects
ranging from the above security alert to the 7.0 release of MPE/iX,
due up early next year. Wilde, who has been with HP since 1984 and
has been in the Commercial Systems Division since 1986, was in charge
of the growth section of the labs, handling design of new
capabilities for the IA-64-ready HP 3000s coming out early in 2001.
Hes had positions ranging from CSY product marketing to
managing solution teams dedicated to the problems of HP 3000 major
accounts.
