Save hours with a new version of Patch/iX
on installs
With thousands of customers updating HP operating systems for Year 2000 compliance and new features, CSY has implemented a feature in recent versions of Patch/iX that allows you to set the default of qualifying or not qualifying enhancement patches from a PowerPatch. If Patch/iX encounters one or more enhancement patches, it prompts the installing manager and asks if you want enhancement patches installed. Answering yes will override the default (which is not installing enhancements) and allow all patches to pass through the normal qualification process. This new feature is available in Patch/iX versions B.01.02 (for 6.0) and B.00.16 (for 5.5). These versions are shipped with all reactive patch tapes, and are available from your Response Center. The new Patch/iX can save the time of qualifying patches for things like ODBCLink/SE and Samba patch by patch, a process that can take hours per 3000, by some customer reports.
