Lund partners with Acucorp for migration
assistance
Lund Performance Solutions and Acucorp announced a
partnership between the Platinum migration provider and the maker of
HP 3000 and Unix COBOL compiler and development software. Lund is
participating in Acucorps Professional Services Program, which
features access to a full range of Acucorp technologies, technical
support and training courses. The objective is to enhance Lunds
HP Platinum migration offering by incorporating the options available
through Acucorps ACUCOBOL-GT development system.
This program is targeted at establishing and growing
relationships with service providers, said Acucorps
director of strategic partnerships Joe Sieley. Other 3000 migration
service partners which are part of the Acucorp program include AD
Tech, MB Foster and MBS. Acucorp and Speedware are working out the
details of a relationship in the Professional Services Program,
Sieley added.
Competence and expertise in ACUCOBOL-GT is the main goal of
joining the professional services program. The Platinum
partners have a unique relationship with HP, Sieley said,
and they offer soup-to-nuts comprehensive migration
solutions. Acucorp also operates a Complementary Technology
Program with HP 3000 providers, a group whose members include
ScreenJet, iMaxsoft and Eloquence database supplier Marxmeier
Software AG.
Lund said its relationship helps it deliver the ACUCOBOL-GT
solution as part of its migration engagements. Lund is pleased
to be supporting Acucorps offering for our HP e3000 migration
customers, said Andrew Herbert, Lunds vice president and
director of sales. ACUCOBOL-GTs strong affinity for HP
COBOL II, wide-platform support including PA-RISC and Itanium
systems, and reputation for outstanding value and service make this
an excellent choice for COBOL migration and modernization.
Sieley said that some HP 3000 prospects approach Acucorp
directly, but others will follow a path through the Platinum
partners. The bigger prospects will head to a migration
vendor, he said. Other COBOL providers to the Unix and Windows
NT platforms, such as Fujitsus NetCOBOL and MicroFocus,
havent signed alliances with HPs Platinum partners.
