Lund Performance Solutions is now shipping its new Meta-View Performance Manager (Meta-View), an executive information system the company says “delivers computer performance data instantaneously over the Web in an easy-to-read and completely customizable GUI format.” Meta-View provides, as Lund says, “What you need to know. When you need to know it.” Among the novelties of the product, which runs on the HP 3000 as well as HP and Sun’s Unixes, Windows, and Linux, is its ability to send performance data to Palm and Windows CE handheld devices in full color. Lund said Meta-View is the successor to the SOS product, retaining “the powerful collectors and host-based capabilities of SOS with three powerful new elements: a server to make data available online in real time, and two new Java-based clients.” Lund’s graphical reporting tool, Performance Gallery Gold, will be available as an add-on to the Meta-View suite. The vendor said the Gallery has also been enhanced to provide real-time, multi-host reporting.
