PDF tools stayed up to date on the 3000Sanface has updated its txt2pdf
software for MPE/iX. The 7.6 version, which is available as both
shareware and in a for-purchase Pro release, can be downloaded from
www.sanface.com/txt2pdf.html.
The software is a Perl 5 script that converts text files to PDF
format files, so it can be used under MPE/iX. Great Falls
Schools’ Bob McGregor reported on his organization’s use of
the product this summer on HP 3000s. The school has transformed its
applications’ submit screens to allow PowerHouse Quiz reports to
be converted to Acrobat PDF files and then sent via sendmail to a
Windows-based server.
