HP purchases licenses for Programmer Studio at HP 3000 partner forum

At this summer’s HP e3000 partner forum held in Cupertino, Calif., HP included a license for Whisper Technology’s Programmer Studio for all attendees. The forum, designed to help HP 3000 software partners engage with the HP-UX, Linux and Window NT organizations in HP, included discussions on migration tools. A free copy of Programmer Studio was part of the giveaways HP offered, since the software is a fully customizable Windows code editor designed specifically for programmers developing for these server platforms.

“We selected Programmer Studio as it is used both by HP and by many of our HP e3000 ISVs, and has already been used successfully by many for migration to HP-UX, Linux and WinNT,” said HP e3000 Migration Center Manager Alvina Nishimoto. “It is an ideal editor for partners migrating to a variety of platforms.”

Attendees of the forum also received the current HP-UX internal-use-only CD pack all of operating environments and subsystems for HP-UX 11.0 and 11i, as well as HP’s HP-UX applications and documentation. Briefings covered HP-UX, IA-64, Linux, HP’s current partner programs and ways to sign up for free for Compaq’s partner programs, Eloquence, SQL Server and Oracle.
