ROC Software rolls out Task
Services
HP 3000 software provider ROC Software has announced the
general availability release of its cross-platform job scheduling
solution, ROC Task Services.
The software offers all new, cross-platform scheduling
capabilities to bridge mixed-platform user requirements between MPE
and non-MPE environments. The products Web Services
architecture provides a solution with the streamlined advantages of
leading-edge technology and open industry standards.
ROC officials said Task Services is designed to address
the simple need for coordinating workloads between MPE and open
systems platforms, by offering distributed scheduling services that
interface with ROC Softwares Maestro for MPE workload
management solution. ROC Task Services supports Linux, HP-UX, Solaris
and Microsoft Windows 2000. The company said the Task Services
release is the first of several product releases scheduled for this
year.
