Records of the Wake will stay onlineAfter hundreds of HP 3000 customers reported where they would spend the last day of HP’s 3000 sales, the information is going to live beyond the vendor’s sales efforts. Alan Yeo announced that an archive of the World Wide Wake, with photos and messages from the customers around the world on Oct. 31, 2003, will be hosted on an array of servers in the 3000 community. “We have created a simple single Web page that by country just lists the venues and who attended, and also has a link to any pictures for that venue, “ Yeo said. “The information will be condensed into a single Web page, and a directory of about 75 images. We have had several offers to host the information, so rather than try and pick a single host, we thought that allowing any interested attendee to host it would be best. So if you would still like to host a copy of the information please email me directly at hpwake@screenjet.com with a subject of ‘Host HPWake.’ “
